Volunteering as a pair has worked out very well through the Association for us (Lacey and Brooke). We were fortunate to be living as homestays for the duration of the camp and an additional week teaching english to our families. The program coordinator was extremely helpful and always avaliable to contact. Also, she helped us with travel complications and any questions we had throughout our stay. During the camp, it was very helpful to know basic itailian skills, but it was not required.

The children learned a lot of English skills and had tons of fun! They all worked very hard to learn, organize, and act out a play at the end of camp to demonstrate their skills. Our stay in Marcerata, Italy was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to volunteering again with this organization in the future.
